Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 25, 2026 Last updated: July 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Truffnet, Inc. ("Truffnet, Inc.," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with Ink Drake (the "Service"), a service for building and sharing tier lists of book series and for receiving book and series recommendations.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Ink Drake is operated by Truffnet, Inc.. If you have questions about this Policy or your data, contact us at the address in the Contact section below.

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information as necessary to run the Service. The categories below describe what we may collect depending on how you use it.

2.1 Information you provide

2.2 Information collected automatically

2.3 Information we do not intentionally collect

We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, health, or biometric data). Please do not submit such information through the Service.

3. The book catalog and recommendations

Ink Drake maintains a catalog of book series and related metadata (titles, authors, cover art, ratings, and similar bibliographic information) sourced from public and third-party sources. This catalog is not personal information about you.

Our recommendation feature is trained on tier-list data. It uses patterns across many users' rankings to suggest series, information you provide us, and information partners provide us to recommend other books and series to you and to other users.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

4.1 Marketing communications and your choices

If you receive marketing emails from us, every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional or service messages (for example, security notices or account confirmations). Where the law requires your consent before we send marketing, we will obtain it, and you may withdraw it at any time.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

6. Cookies, tracking, and advertising

We and our partners use cookies, browser local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to:

Some of these advertising technologies involve "sharing" or "selling" your information as those terms are defined under certain privacy laws. See Section 10 for how to opt out.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of many interest-based advertising cookies via industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org). We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required. Blocking some cookies or clearing local storage may cause you to lose an unsaved tier list or degrade certain features.

7. How we share information

We share information as described here. Some of this sharing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to opt out — see Section 10.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16 without the consent required by law.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this Policy. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. We retain and use de-identified and aggregated data indefinitely. We delete or anonymize personal information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal requirements.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights and choices

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable law.

13. Changes to this Policy
